Komodo boat trip for couples: a queen bed and a private bathroom on NK Jaya

A couple doesn't need much from a boat: a queen bed, a door that closes and a bathroom that's yours. Every cabin on both boats has all three, plus air conditioning. On NK Jaya 1 the beds are dressed with a gold runner across the foot and a yellow ship-wheel cushion.

Grab this cabin if… you want the best price: a Superior on the lower deck of both boats, with round portholes. Grab a Full Ocean if you want daylight on the pillow, on the main deck with large side windows. On NK Jaya 2, the Master Ocean upstairs has windows on several sides and the top deck to itself.

Open-trip prices are per person, so a couple in one cabin pays the fare twice: IDR 4,350,000 (≈ USD 267) each for Superior, IDR 5,350,000 (≈ USD 328) for Full Ocean, or IDR 6,050,000 (≈ USD 371) for the Master Ocean on NK Jaya 2. Every fare is sold Min 2 Pax, which suits a couple.

On an open trip the sundeck, the lazy chairs, the bean bags, the table and the jacuzzi are shared, and the volume on the Bluetooth speaker is a group decision.

An hour for two still comes early and late. The Kalong sunset on the 2 days and 3 days routes is a shared show, and a quiet corner of the deck is easy to find while everyone watches the bats. A sunrise coffee on deck is yours if you're up first.
