Komodo National Park entrance fees for your NK Jaya trip
Updated 20 October 2026
Park entry is never in the NK Jaya fare. A foreign visitor pays IDR 250,000 per day. An Indonesian citizen pays IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and holidays. Tickets are bought online in each visitor's name. Ranger and pier charges are separate lines.
What each visitor pays a day
Every visitor pays, every day in the park. The fee follows national regulation PP 36/2024, and the table below lists the rates by visitor type.
A foreign visitor pays IDR 250,000 per day. An Indonesian citizen pays IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends and holidays.
Snorkeling is covered by the entry ticket. Other sites list totals that differ by several hundred thousand rupiah, because they add different levies or quote older rules. We show the entry fee under PP 36/2024 and treat the rest as separate lines.
Other park figures for NK Jaya trips circulate elsewhere. The regulation figures here are the ones we apply, and your invoice names them.
| International visitors | IDR 250,000 per person per day |
| Indonesian visitors | IDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays |
Paid separately, as an e-ticket in each visitor's name. Ranger and pier charges are extra. Regulation: PP 36/2024 · Verified 10 October 2026.
Buying the ticket online
Tickets are bought online through SiOra, the park's own system. There is no cash at the gate. Each visitor is registered by name and passport number, and the name must match the passenger list.
Send us the names exactly as in your passports and your nationalities. We tell you what we need and by when. The boat company normally registers the group, so you don't have to do it yourself.
Pay once the date is confirmed. The e-ticket is your proof, and we tell you what to carry.
What a trip costs in tickets
The park calculator below multiplies visitors by days. It shows two, four and ten guests across one, two and three days.
Days in the park, not nights on the boat, set the number of tickets. A 3 days 2 nights route has three days of park time, and it needs three daily tickets for each foreign visitor.
A group with Indonesian and foreign visitors pays two different rates. Send nationalities with the head count.
| Guests | Days | International | Indonesian | Indonesian · weekends & holidays |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 100,000 | IDR 150,000 |

Entry fee only (PP 36/2024). Ranger and pier levies are extra. The weekend domestic rate applies on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Verified 10 October 2026.
Other lines the fare leaves out
The boat fare never includes park tickets. It also leaves out ranger charges for the Komodo trek, pier levies, a guide and photo or video documentation. Ranger and pier levies are paid separately and can change.
On a private charter a guide and documentation are not included at any length. We quote them in writing when you ask.
Drones need a park permit. Tell us before you pack one.
Flights, hotels, insurance, tips and personal spending are outside the fare as well.
Daily cap, closures and an unverified figure
A daily visitor cap has applied since 1 April 2026 at Padar, Rinca and Komodo islands and nearby dive sites, in time sessions. The figure has been revised during the year. Reports name 1000 visitors a day, and September news named 500. We treat the figure as unverified, and the boat company checks the current cap when it registers you.
One report says a proposal to exclude snorkeling and diving from the cap is still being finalized. We treat that as unverified as well.
Closures also change the plan. On 6 to 8 August 2026 Komodo and Padar closed for waves and wind, with Rinca open. Every itinerary can change with the weather.
FAQ
Is the park ticket valid for several days?
No. The entry fee is per person per day, so a 3 days 2 nights route with park access on all three days needs three daily tickets for each foreign visitor, at IDR 250,000 each. Domestic visitors pay IDR 50,000 on weekdays and IDR 75,000 at weekends, also per day.
Can I buy the park ticket at the gate?
No. Walk-in tickets are no longer sold. Tickets are bought online through SiOra, in each visitor's name with passport details. The e-ticket is checked at the park. Buy it before boarding day. Send us the passport names in time, and have the e-ticket on your phone when you arrive at the pier.
Does the park ticket cover snorkeling?
Yes. Snorkeling is covered by the entry ticket. Ranger charges for the Komodo trek and pier levies are separate lines, and they can change. The ticket is per person per day, with international visitors paying IDR 250,000. Check the ranger line on your quote, since that levy is separate.
Why do other websites list a different park fee?
Totals differ by several hundred thousand rupiah because some sites add conservation and harbor levies, some quote weekend rates and some use older rules. We show the PP 36/2024 entry fee and list other levies separately. Check the date a page was written.
