Booking terms for NK Jaya 1 and NK Jaya 2

To book NK Jaya 1 or NK Jaya 2 you pay a 50% deposit and the balance 30 days before departure. Canceling 60 days or more ahead returns 50%, and 59 to 30 days returns 25%. If the boat can't sail, you get a replacement of equal or higher class on your dates, or a refund within 14 days.
Who you contract with
Your contract is with PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia, NIB 1805260128363. These terms cover every booking made through this site, an open-trip cabin or a private charter alike.
The quote and the invoice are part of the contract. They name the boat, the dates, the head count and what is included. Where they apply, they show park tickets, a guide, documentation and tips as separate or excluded lines.
Indonesian law governs the booking, including the Indonesian Commercial Code (KUHD) for charters and the international maritime standards that apply to the boat. Any dispute is settled through the Indonesian courts.
Deposit first, balance later, and how to pay
Booking takes a 50% deposit. The balance is paid 30 days before departure. Anyone booking inside that window pays everything at once. Prices include 11% VAT.
You can pay by bank transfer in rupiah or through a payment link for cards. Wise, Revolut, PayPal, QRIS and Alipay are accepted too, and WeChat Pay runs through a payment partner. PayPal carries a 7.2% fee, and the invoice shows any fee on the link before you pay.
Names must match passports. The head count and cabin types are fixed in the quote before the deposit, because they set the price. Names and passport details reach us with the balance. The last day we accept them is 7 days before sailing, since the boarding pass must match them.

Canceling, or moving your date
The refund depends on the days between your cancellation and departure. At 60 days or more you get back 50% of what you paid. At 59 to 30 days you get back 25%.
Under 30 days nothing is returned. The table shows the same tiers.
Moving a date 30 days or more before departure costs nothing, subject to availability. From 29 down to 14 days the fee is IDR 500,000. With 13 days or fewer, the move counts as a cancellation.
Travel insurance is not part of any fare. We strongly advise a policy that covers trip cancellation, medical evacuation and belongings, since it covers what the tiers do not return.

If we cancel, you are refunded 100 percent · Refunds are paid within 14 days.
When the boat can't sail
The replacement-boat guarantee covers a sailing that cannot go ahead, whether the cause is an engine fault or an order from the harbor or park authority. You receive a replacement phinisi of equal or higher class on the same dates at no added cost. The alternative is a refund of everything you paid, within 14 days. A booking that we cancel is refunded in full.
On the day, the captain decides the route. Weather, sea conditions or an instruction from the harbor authority can change the stops, and safety comes first. Every NK Jaya itinerary can change with the weather. A changed route costs you nothing extra.
Children, conduct and fare lines
- Children under 3 travel free with a parent or guardian; from age 3 the full price applies.
- The fare covers what the cabins page, the charter page and your invoice list. It leaves out flights, hotel nights, park tickets and ranger charges, tips, personal expenses and insurance.
- A guide and photo or video documentation are not included on a private charter. Each is quoted on request.
- Conduct that endangers the vessel, the crew or the park ends the trip at once, with no refund.
Prices for 2027 and marketing consent
Prices on this site come from the current price lists of NK Jaya 1 and NK Jaya 2. For 2027 dates, the price follows the list on display. If it changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you can cancel at no cost.
Marketing consent is separate from the booking. If you give it, we share one-way hashed identifiers with Google and Meta solely to measure advertising. Declining or withdrawing changes nothing about your booking, the service or the price. The privacy page gives the detail.

Which country's law applies to my booking?
Indonesian law, including the Indonesian Commercial Code (KUHD) for charters, together with the maritime standards that apply to the boat. Disputes go to the Indonesian courts and not to a court abroad. Read the clause in full on this page, and write to us if a sentence is unclear.
When must names and passport details reach you?
With the balance, 30 days before departure. The last day we accept them is 7 days before sailing. Sending them with the balance leaves time to fix a name that does not match its passport, which is the check made at the pier for the boarding pass. Send the list as soon as you have it. A name that does not match the passport needs time to fix.
What happens if the price changes before I pay the balance?
For 2027 dates, the price follows the list on display. If it changes before your balance is due, we tell you first and you can cancel at no cost. We never change a price after the balance is paid. Ask us for the price in writing when you book.
Does bad behavior on board affect my refund?
Yes. Conduct that endangers the vessel, the crew or the park ends the trip at once. No refund is due once a trip is ended for that reason, so brief your group before boarding. The captain makes that call on the day, and the crew's safety rules come first.
