The 2 days 1 night route on NK Jaya 1 and NK Jaya 2 starts at 10.00 from your hotel. Day 1 stops at Kelor, Manjarite and Kalong for sunset. Day 2 covers Padar, Long Beach (Pink Beach) and Komodo Island. The boat is back around 18.00 to 19.00. It's sold as a private charter.

Ten o'clock at the hotel

A civilized start for once. Pickup for the 2 days 1 night route is 10.00 at your hotel or the airport. There's a welcome drink, and the boat sails at 10.30.

NK Jaya 1 and NK Jaya 2 run this exact itinerary, with the same stops in the same order.

The first afternoon is gentle on purpose. One small hill, one reef, one sunset. The long walks wait for day 2.

A quick reminder. This is the private-charter plan. The open trip runs 3 days and 2 nights, so if you're after a cabin rather than the whole boat, look at the three-day page.

Check the date, then check out of your hotel. A 10.00 pickup means breakfast and checkout come first.

First afternoon: a hill, a reef, a sunset

Stop 1 is a trek up Kelor Island, followed by lunch. Stop 2 is a snorkel at Manjarite, with free time and a snack. Stop 3 is sunset at Kalong Island, with dinner and free time.

  • Kelor, first stop. Short steep hill, view over the bay.
  • Manjarite, second stop. The first mask of the trip.
  • Kalong, third stop. Sunset, then the bats leave the mangroves.

You watch Kalong from the boat. The bats leave at dusk, about 15 minutes after sunset, in one long stream. Sunset falls between about 17:35 and 18:55 depending on the month, so check the sunset table on the Kalong page before you pick a date.

It's a snorkel stop, and that's all we'll claim.

·Komodo Island trek, then lunch—closed shoes, park ticket

Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.

Where the boat spends the night

We'll keep this short. Where the boat spends the night depends on the weather and the captain's decision that day.

What's fixed is the cabin. Every cabin on both boats has air conditioning and a private bathroom, and you sleep in a queen bed whichever one you pick.

Grab a Full Ocean cabin if you want to wake up to the water. On NK Jaya 1 they're on the main deck, with a row of big side windows. NK Jaya 2 has two Full Ocean cabins on its main deck, and the Master Ocean upstairs.

Grab a Superior if you mostly want a bed and a door. Superior cabins are on the lower deck of both boats, and they cost less per person.

Day 2: Padar, Long Beach and Komodo Island, then home

Day 2 opens with the Padar Island trek around breakfast. Next is a snorkel and free time at Long Beach, also known as Pink Beach. Last comes the trek on Komodo Island, then lunch.

  • Padar, day 2, first stop. Ridge walk, three bays, bring grip.
  • Long Beach, second stop. Pale sand and reef near the shore.
  • Komodo Island, last stop. Ranger trail, then the sail home.

The boat is due back in Labuan Bajo around 18.00 to 19.00, and you're at your hotel or the airport around 19.00. Don't book a flight that evening. Fly the next day.

The itinerary can change with the weather. If the park or the harbor authority closes Padar or Komodo, the day gets reshuffled around whatever's open.

What two days cost, and what stays outside

The whole boat for 1 to 10 guests is IDR 49,000,000 (≈ USD 3,006) on NK Jaya 1 and IDR 44,000,000 (≈ USD 2,699) on NK Jaya 2. Each extra guest costs IDR 1,500,000 (≈ USD 92). Overnight, NK Jaya 1 sleeps 14 and NK Jaya 2 sleeps 12 to 13. The table works out the cost per head for your group.

The fare covers meals on board, mineral water, snacks, coffee and tea, the tender, snorkel gear, life jackets and your air-conditioned cabin. Pickup and drop-off are included too.

Not in the fare: park tickets at IDR 250,000 a day per foreign visitor, a guide, photo and video coverage, flights, your hotel in Labuan Bajo, insurance, tips and personal spending. On a private charter, a guide and photo coverage are quoted separately when you ask.

Bring the short list: shoes for trekking, a backpack, emergency cash, personal medicines, sunblock and sunglasses.

FAQ

What does the 2 days 1 night route cover that the day tour does not?

It adds Kelor, Manjarite and the Kalong sunset on day 1, plus a night on board. Day 2 repeats the day tour's run of Padar, Long Beach and Komodo Island. That's six numbered stops in all, two of them snorkel stops: Manjarite and Long Beach.

When does the 2 days 1 night trip end?

The boat gets back to Labuan Bajo around 18.00 to 19.00 on day 2, and you're at your hotel or the airport around 19.00. Treat that evening as dinner, not travel time. Book your flight home for the next morning or later.

Can I join the 2 days 1 night route as a single cabin?

Not as a cabin. The two-day route is sold as a private charter, for the whole boat. If you want a cabin on a shared boat, the open trip runs 3 days and 2 nights, priced per person. We confirm its dates and stops in writing before you pay a deposit.

Is the sunset at Kalong the same every night?

No. Sunset falls between about 17:35 and 18:55 across the year, and the bats leave about 15 minutes after it. The Kalong page has a sunset table by month, so you can check the light for your own dates. Get on deck early to find a spot.
